Anyone catch the photos of the 7 Bothers (Kachina Elk) in the Arizona Republic today? Section B page 8. Awesome display of horn-porn.

The bulls have been in the meadow more frequently the past week or so. One smaller bull was hit on I-17 last week.
The best bull did not make the paper. It's a nontypical 8x9, with matching points coming out at the base of the sword tines, on a typical 7x7 configuration.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-12-05 AT 05:10PM (MST)[p]I'm almost dead certain we tailed the 3rd one from the right during my Archery 7M Hunt last fall. We never got closer than about 80 yards. He had roughly 25 cows with him at the time.

Aren't these the same bulls that have been Summering there the last 3-4 years? Must be kind tricky getting in there. Surrounded by homes on 3 sides and an interste on the other side. Pretty cool for sure.

Anybody know when they typically leave?

They are there all year around. You are right they do go back in the wood when the Rut starts up. There is usually 1 - 2 people during the 7M Achary hunts go after them but they are pretty smart and stay in them houses a lot.
