I spotted these guys sunday afternoon. Took a few pictures using my Smith & Wesson spotting scope and digital camera.
Any guess on the score of this 7x8?

Yellowstone? Central Utah! There was sixteen bulls in the herd. This is common this time of year when they are in bachelor groups.

NOt sure on his score, but he and his big 6 point buddy would hit the dirt fast and hard!

I do have a better picture. It may take a few days, but I will try to get it posted. He is not very wide, but still a nice bull. My dad has got a tag for this unit. Any idea what he would score?

It is pretty hard to make an educated guess from that photo. Regardless of the score, he is a keeper... Get your other photo on and let's see what we can come up with...
He is just on the wrong angle to get any speculation of the length of everything....

those are some great bulls...no matta the score!

????

if your 40 yds away archery hunt, the elk in the first pick is only going to give you that shot...#1 would you take the shot (you've praticed and feel completely confident and no wind) #2 if you would take the shot were would you place the arrow.

would you try for double lung with an exit wound or heart and have the other end of the arrow (exit) hit the shoulder blade.

I'm only on my third year bowhunting and elk's coming up soon and just wondering, if i'm sittin at a hole or stalking and a elk presents me this only oppurtunity..my mind would go into over drive and i really don't know where to place my arrow.

thanks and great bulls.

That is the perfect ange for a shot. Just tuck it in behind his shoulder on that angle and yes the arrow would hit on the oppostite side shoulder.

Looks just like the herd of bulls I seen on the fish lake unit last week.. but there was 34 in it then.

So you don't think i am full of it, send me your email and I'll ell you where they are at. Thanks a bunch!

That bull is a lot better than 330. I think he's deceiving. He has quite a bit on his ones & twos, I'd dare say 360.

That bull won't score any higher then 350. If he's lucky.
Killer looking pictures though man, There is gonna be some intense fighting w/i the next 2 weeks.

I think that the big bull would score at least 360. It could goe upto 375. The picture is decieving. I've seen them on the hoof. His G1 and G2 or good. 17-19 inches. weak G3 but long main beam. G4 and 5 are good too. He's around 50 wide.

There has been a GOOD 6x6 bull with him that would score alot more, easy. I would say 390.

Cass, the only place you ever scored was the condom factory in Alaska. But at least you had photos for that one.

I agree the G1 and G2 look to be about 18" long. With shorter thirds it puts the bottom half about average. The tops are much shorter probably no more than 14" on the G4 which makes the G-5 look bigger than it is. For this bull to reach 360 the tops would have to be twice as long. Most really big bulls are lucky to reach 50" on width, I would say this bull is 45" at best. Great bull 330-350.

MrBaitnFish, Yea know I might have if the place was open. Nice try at a spoil though, I have to give you an A for effort on the matter. On the topic of the bull. Take a look at his eye guards on his side shot, Not out past the nose, Telling me that he is a lot smaller in tine length then he actually looks. That is a 340 bull. This bull would be lucky to top the 350 mark with his skinny spread and small tine length. I give him 1 more year with the amount of feed there is this year, if there is the same amount you will be looking at a 380 bull.
