CO unit 12

I've tried doing a search on this area but came up with nothing. Just wodering if anyone is hunting this unit this year( I know, I know, hundreds will be) or in the years past? Any luck? I'm going muzzleloading here this year. Just looking for a little info.
I came across this site several months ago and I've been hooked ever since. Today is my first time posting. I think it is great how everone contributes info, pics, sarcasim and etc. Anyway I will do my best to contribute when possible.

The colorado G&F hunting site has tons of information. I would start there.

Then call a wildlife guy for that region.

After that buy a map of the region and then we may be able to help.

archeryelkaholic - Thanks for your response. I have already looked over the statistics and have four maps of this area. I was hoping to get info from someone who has hunted here for elk or mule deer. I have searched MM and have not found any discussions about unit 12. Is it not worth talking about or is it so good no one wants to give it away

this is qreat unit to hunt- get there early prior to opening day scout in behind the saddle 'you can see it from the camp site'

I HAVE HUNTED IN THIS UNIT THE LAST THREE YEARS. TWICE IN FIRST RIFLE AND ONCE 2ND RIFLE. ALOT ELK. HUNTED NORTH OF LOST PARK ALONG COAL CREEK. IT IS A WILDERNESS AREA HORSES AND FOOT TRAVEL ONLY. IN 2002 I SEEN OVER 300 ELK IN 2 DAYS. WE TAGGED 5 BULLS OPENING MORNING OUT OF 6 HUNTERS BY 11 AM.
