I drew unit 54 bull tag for the new muzz. hunt that starts nov 1 and goes to the 30th. There is so few tags and such long draw odds I thought maybe some one would be willing to share some info on the unit. It would be great to find some one that has hunted it before or some one that drew the late deer tag in the area. As you might know you can hunt many other units with the same tag inc. 55. I have been trying to do my home work on it but do to so few tags it is difficult to find anybody that has info on it. Any thing would be great.

hey aaron i have hunted that unit for deer a lot and i know the country pretty darn well.. i have seen a couple of monster bulls- believe it or not.. i don't know if you know this but they are a herd from nevada that now reside there... i am taking off to go bowhunting in about an hour and i don't have time to talk but when i get back i will pm you about the unit and the places i have seen the most elk.. there are a couple good things you have going for you in that unit.. it isn't as steep as some units and there are a ton of roads so you can definately cover a lot of ground trying to locate them.. remind me next week to talk to you about this i will give you my number and you can call me..

later chad

My friend and I hunted an area recommended to us by a retired fish and game gentleman from Pocatello. My suggestion on the west side of 54 is to try the drainages consisting of 5th Fork, and Secret Creek. You might also try the next drainage over to the west. (Electric Springs area?) Good luck. There was alot of sign in there last October.
