Does anyone know the regulations concerning game retreival with atv's on national forests and BLM land in Colorado?

BLM is much more liberal than Forest service. you have to check with the agency whose land you will be hunting on, but generally in Colorado Blm land is pretty open to atv's but on forest service you must stay on designated trails and off road game retrieval is usually illegal per the 2005 reg's

on an atv you cant have any bullets in your gun it ust be completely empty. if it has bullets in it and you get caught you get fined big time.

ON a ATV the GUN or BOW MUST be unloaded and in a CASE
in Colorado.
If it has bullets in it or NO Case and you get caught you get fined. or loss of gun or atv ?

Personally I never put just bullets in my gun, I find they make a much bigger bang when accompanied by gunpowder, brass and a primer. Called a cartridge or something like that.

In colorado National Forests you may not leave a posted trail for any reason including game retrieval, legally that is.
