I'm new to elk hunting and CO and have been hunting west of Walden in the Mount Zirkel wilderness and around Rabbit Ears pass and haven't had any luck finding elk. Also spent a little time west of Steamboat Lake and saw a couple spikes. Any information of where to begin researching or looking at maps to find a legal bull would be of great help and hopefully spare the season.
