MANTI BULLS!!

I'm from the manti area and have not heard of anything taken other than spikes and cows. Laberday weekend was a circus!

Here is the one of the bigger Manti bulls you will see!! Ok maybe not, but he was the biggest I could shoot without a Limited entry tag.

I shot him this past Friday night from a treestand. I was calling back and forth with a big bull and the spike had to come in to see what was going on. I shot him at 20 yards and he ran about 60 yards after the shot before piling up.

Gotta love bowhunting for Elk!!

I've got a tag for a big bull on the manti, I've seen lots of big bulls. I have had a few small 6 points come in with in range, but not what I was after. On wed., the bigger bulls are starting to gather cows and reacting to the bugles and calls. So I am hoping this weekend the big one will give me a chance.

I have been watching and willing to take 4 different bulls. All are big. 1-7x8 about 370
1-6x7 where the g-4 splits big 370ish
1-6x6 BIG, 390ish, but on private land
1-6x6 Good, about 365

I'll post picks if I get any one of them. It really is starting to heat up with the rut and BIG BUGLING BULLS.

Wish me luck and Good Luck to the rest with LE elk tags!!!

WHAT PART OF THE MANTI HAVE YOU BEEN HUNTING? BECAUSE I HAVE A 390+ BULL ON VIDEO REAL CLOSE TO PRIVATE PROPERTY

LAST EDITED ON Sep-27-05 AT 07:25AM (MST)[p]I have seen a couple nice bulls come off the mountain but none of them have been posted yet. Post some pics of your brothers bull, haven't seen it yet.

My neighbor in Manti just got a nice bull up 6 mile that will go about 350.

I am waiting to hear from my cousin after today if they bring any other big ones in.

I was up there this weekend and seen a pretty good one hangin in a tree don't know who it was they said it went 394 but I think they were being very generous my guess would be around 370 very nice bull and I heard mike eastman got one also never did hear what it was.

Hey, sorry that I have not got back to you.

I guess that you could say that I was depressed after not killing on my hunt. I passed up alot of descent bills waiting to get a good chacne at the big ones. Si I pretty much boycotted all hunting websites.

I think that I am over it now. Today is the first I've got on to see what people have killed this year.

I was hunting 2 differnt areas. The first was on South Skyline by Mt pleasant Canyon. The other was on North Skyline looking down into dairy fork sort of by the Fish Creek trail head.

I knew these big bulls were near and waited for the fight time. The wind is what killed me everytime. I had the one big one within 60 yards 2 times. All he had to do was take 2 steps more to get around the tree. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THE WIND SWIRLED on me evertime they got in range.

Once again, sorry for not responding sooner. Email some pics and I can tell you if it's the same ones or not.

I know the guy who shot the bull. It did score 390. It was one of the bull that I had been chasing on the archery hunt. Mike eastman guided an archery hunter on some good bulls, never heard if he ended up with one. He also had a tag, I bet $$$$ he got a GOOD BULL. He was up there all of the time. He was a very nice guy. He gave me lots of tips and offered help while I was archery hunting. GOOD MAN!
