This Bull was taken by a young lad that unlucky enough to draw a Unit 23 Bull Tag

That's a good bull. I tried to draw a tag in 23 but no luck--maybe next year.

Nice bull you got there, put in for 23 myself and got no tag. Did you happen to see and good mule deer while you hunting. Got a Nov deer tag for the same unit. Have been hunting that unit since 1987 and love it over there.(UNCLE BILLS BAR)is the place to go.

Yeah I've dropped a few at Ol'Uncle Bills Bar. And been dropped a few times also hehe

My boys will be hunting in 23 also. Need to get away from the crowds.

Just got back from 23 myself. We had lots of fun, but definitely didn't see anything like him. I may have been chasing one like him all week, I'll never know. I heard him, smelled him and even saw the tree shaking from 15 yards away, but it was all in the thick stuff.

A bull like that is always a trophy. One like that from 23 is an incredible feat.

Of course all the rain making my water holes worthless sure didn't help my cause any. Never had so much rain on a NM elk hunt in my 15 years of bowhunting.

Oh well, maybe I'll draw a real tag next year.
