Yes I know that makes no sense. But in the spirit of Babe Ruth pointing to the far bleachers, I will give it a try. Havent been out for elk yet this year. Have waited for a 350+ bull for the last several years (still waiting) Anyway, next week I will down the first legal elk I call in just to give my 3 year old colt a lesson in packing. Need meat! Will save the "horn hunting" for the Muleys in November. Will post picks when I get down from hills. Good luck to all.

Confidence goes a long way,and plays into success! Good Luck, and I hope you get a good one!!!

No Gut's...No Story!!!

Just remember, calves taste great!!! (if legal) and easy packing too......just make sure and look real close so ya dont shoot a bull, haha.

Tough deal there, after practicing all summer she pulled something in her arm when volleyball started, and she is unable to pull back her bow (at any poundage) had a real good response too from people out there willing to help. She is looking forward to rifle season. My younger daughter will be hunting bighorn ewes in 270 this year with her bow. Her sister with the 690 tag will have to sit this (archery) season out it looks like, but she is dead set on rifleing a nice mulie. Good luck to you. Bittersweet

bsmuleymeat,

tough deal, but that means there will be one more bull running around out there and he will be one year older and that much bigger next year.

best of luck to your younger daughter on her archery ewe, and of course good luck to all the hunters in your family when rifle season comes along.
