Well fellows, I've been on here before and enjoy all the information. Never thought I would need your help now more than ever. You see I'll make a long story short and get to the point, since I raised my hand and swore to defend our great county. I have to miss this season due to trying to make family life and hunting life better than it was before. I'm a member of the USAF and have been for 15 or so years. Been all over the country and was lucky enough to have lived in Wyoming for 7 years, after that I went to DC for 5 years up until one week ago when I moved to Korea without my 2 sons and lovely wife.
Not looking for a thanks because that is what "we" as "your" military do. After this one year stop in Korea my family and I will be moving back to Wyoming to pound a stake so deep nothing will pull it out. Pleaase keep the information flowing and I hope everyone has a safe and successful season. I sure will miss chasing them Wapati this Sept. Thanks!

Good luck!

Although you're not looking for it....Thanks for all that you do. Best of luck to you and your family over the next year and keep the faith. You'll be back in Wyoming before you know it.

Take care,
Rem

yes thank you for all you guy's do! as for hunting in wyoming i know that the elk are going mad above lander. last week i was up there not hunting elk just as a family camping trip. i drew another area for elk but i was hunting deer. we played with a few bulls and a few hunters hehehe ( don't tell ) but they will be there next year. what part of good old wyoming you looking at??

I'll have 3 1/2 years remaining until I retire once I get back...Cheyenne will be the starting point. Pretty sure a land purchase north or west of town will be home. Spent most of my hunting time west of Encampment. Are you familiar with Houston wilderness area? That's where most of my elk and mule deer hunting took place. I was lucky enough to make it 4 out of 5 times out there while I was stationed in DC. Couple of my friends that live out there have been chasing them hard since the 1st. Haven't heard of any success yet...just plain old elk hunting fun. Should be getting close to full steam around that area...usaually the 3rd to 4th week of Sept had them screaming. Thanks.

Eric

Eric,

Good luck on your tour over there in Korea and the time will go by fast. Nothing like being back in good old USA after being overseas.
Thanks for your service to the USAF and in the future as well.

Brian

Man, that is tough being away from the family on a non accompanied tour.

I have been very lucky during my time in the Navy and have only missed a couple of seasons. Are you retiring?

Good luck to you.
