I bull was killed on Saturday night that should crush the state record typical. 423 6/8" Gross (rough score but fairly accurate) with only about 9 inches of deductions it is a hog. The bull is a 6X7 with seconds that are unbelivable.

Hope someone who has permission will post a picture.

I seen the photos and he is a great bull. It is a Pahvant bull if it is the one that I've seen. Governor's tag...

Antlerrick,

It is a Pahvant bull, but it is not the one that was killed by the guy with the governers tag. That is a nice 420 somthing grossing bull as well, but it doesn't net as high as this bull.

I work with a guy who's father-in-law shot this bull and I've heard the details of the hunt. I saw pictures of it yesterday and it is a monster!! He shot it on the Pahvant!! He says you'll probably see it on Doug Miller in the coming weeks. His father-in-law told him that he had a train of vehicles follow him home with it the other night. As Arrowhntr stated, he didn't have the govenor's tag. Just drew it. It's an awesome bull.

WOw!! Cant wait to see the pics on either of those bad boys. If someone has the pictures, and is willing to email them to me, I'd love to see them (if you dont want them to be posted publicly). Thanks!

I have pictures of the bull, but it is not my place to send them to anybody, I don't want to still the hunters thunder. I don't personally know these guys, but they killed this bull while some of the best guides in the state where trying to locate him, and they deserve to be the ones that share the pictures.

Hopefully kill photos will come soon, my photos where taken after the bull had been caped and packed out.

Holly crap,if I am understanding correctly, that is two bulls taken on the same day (one in the morning and one in the evening) from the same unit that both may beat the state record. No way I will ever be able to draw that tag now. Congrats to both hunters. I want to see pics of these two bruts.

Jeff

Jeff,

Actually the governes tag bull was killed last Thursday, and the other one was killed on Sat night. The Governers tag bull has a broken pedistal and a lot of deductions, he wont break the record, but the other bull killed by an unguided hunter is the one that will net around 315 which will be the new state record typical.

Thats awesome! Two great bulls. I hope somebody post some pictures quick. I can't wait to see the odds for next years hunt to see how many people put in for the Pahavant. But congrats to those hunters and guides.

Congrats to the "do it yourselfer"
Happy to hear he drew the tag and tagged a monster.
Can't wait for the entire details and the pictures.

It's shaping up to be an amazing year.
The "good ol' days" are happening right now.

I think he meant 415! Some monster bulls have been killed for sure. It is nice to hear someone beat the "guides" to this one! I always root for the Do it yourselfer! Congrats to whoever you are!

423 is one hell of a bull!
But the bull that the individual with the governors tag is after is going obliterate this if he shoots it.

415" NET!!!HOLY SHNIKEEES!!! The way Utah's bulls are going, it wont hold for very long, unless DWR screws it up......

That is cool that it is another hunter besides the Govenor's tag. Congrats to the hunter!! Hope they post pic's soon.
I seen 3 super bulls coming off of the Monroe last Tuesday, and know of only one of them that has been shot. The were all PIGS!!!
Can't wait for the pic's!!!

A bad day hunting is better than a Good Day at Work!!

The guy I work with whose father-in-law shot this bull mentioned that it would go around 415 net. They called this bull "Iverson" after Allen Iverson due to his long 3rd points. They are unbelieveably long. Apparently, they have some nice live footage of the bull as well.

Sorry about the mistake it's hard to get out 415" I am used to scoring things in the 300" range not 400".

The amazing thing to me is that the Bulls sheds from last year based off from a 40" spread gross scored 386". It actaully has a 44" spread, who knows how much of that 4" was put on this year, but either way thats a lot of growth for one year.

Cass, are you refering to the guy with the sportsmans tag? I only ask because the Statewide or Governers tag has already been filled.

Aggieman,

I alos heard the story of why they called the bull Iverson, not only because of his amazingly long three's, but also because his is a 7X6 refering to the seventysixers.

Governors tag hasn't been filled yet bud, I know the guide whos guiding for him... One of doyle moss's guides.

Can someone please pm or email me the name of the guy who shot this bull. A customer of mine is/was done there with a tag. I am just wondering if it was him that was able to get this incredible bull. Thanks, Travis [email protected]

Cass,

You better check with your bud who is guiding for him. I know for a fact that Doyle and the crew killed the statewide bull last Thursday, and it is not as big as this bull. I also know that Doyle had all of his guides and spotters where on the lookout for the bull mentioned above, but a non-guided guy got to it before they could locate it. The statewide bull was also killed on the Pavhant, it grosses almost the same as this bull, but the net is a lot lower.

Is this guy from Lehi? I heard about a beauty taken by a Lehi guy this past weekend. Details were sketchy, but it sounded like a hog!!!

ARROWHNTR, your right about the gov tag bull 420 3/8... hell of a bull. And your also right about thursday morning. Both of these bulls are monsters.

I heard this "Iverson" bull was arrested for driving 120 mph in his Mercedes with his fiends while trsnsporting weed and guns. I heard that is why they called him Iverson.

I read every one of the posts to this thread , and all I can say is I'm excited to see these bulls . 2 400+ bulls from Utah in a matter of a couple days , is UT gonna overtake AZ for top dog of monster bulls ??? NMHUNTNUTT

Look for video of the bull and the story on Doug Miller's Outdoor show this Saturday. We might try and run something tonight, I'll try and let everyone know if tonight is going to happen. The bull is extremely heavy, long tined and the hunter and his friends are top notch people, the story should be great.

For those that haven't seen the IVERSON bull yet just check out the post!! It was posted a few minutes ago, and it is a total hog but like Paul asked lets keep that post clean. Congrats to Mr. Jacobsen. Boy those Governor Tags are getting smoked by the "AVG. Hunter" Just like "The General" that was taken on the archery deer hunt. Don't get me wrong about the bull shot by the Gov tag that is a hog as well but just not as big as Iverson
