Here is a cute little guy that one of our clients took opening morning. The guide was Levi McClendon and Shawn Patterson was the hunter. This bull was located by Travis a few weeks back and he'd lost track of him until the day before season. Trav and Levi took their guys after him and Levi was forunate enough to have the at thirty yards opening morning and the rest could be history.............

LAST EDITED ON Sep-22-05 AT 10:23PM (MST)[p]I heard about that thing.... GACK!!!!!!!!!!!! What a pig! Is that a net or gross score? Dam that thing is TOP HEAVY! Should call him Dolly. I think I might have the left side off that bull. It's a few years old but it's in the 415" class I'd bet. I'll try to get you a pic. You still have your Yahoo acct?

Hey Stan do you know the guy that wacked that big 417" bull from last year? I found the sheds off that bull this spring. Email me and I'll send you some pics. There ain't no doubt that they're from him. I'm guessing my sheds measure around 395" had they not been all busted up.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-22-05 AT 10:34PM (MST)[p]Josh that's the gross score, right now he nets around 415. The guy who shot the 417 is on this site (rem7ultramag).

SWEET!! That is awesome. I would have to say they are from my bull for sure. That is so cool that you found those sheds. I don't know how you do it Josh. I sent you a PM.

Hey Stan, that is a toad and a half, I gotta call John ASAP.

Hey Stan,I've got a buddy who just got back from hunting unit 9 with Richard Durnez, and he told me of a "Poached" bull that was shot with a rifle that is estimated to go around 490",do you know anything of it?That' is a TOAD that your client took here, thank's for sharing it with us!

No Gut's...No Story!!!

Stan,

Thanks for the post. I am surprized that the story was not rumored on the web till your post.

Congratulations to Shawn, Levi and the rest of the McClendon crew.

Stan,

I see the scores of 432 (and 429 on a pic). Are these the gross? I was told he nets 415 green. Correct?

Doug

Not quite sure what you mean Mike? Trav roughed scored him in at camp in the 420's being conservative. The other scores are by a SCI guy and P&Y guy.

Congrats to the hunter and the guides. It's my perfect dream bull.

How long are the main beams? I'm just trying to figure out the relative scale of things. Seems as though they must be in the 60" range to get that kind of length out of the rest of him.

Might you guys have all the tine lengths handy to post?

Cheers,
Pete

Anyone hear any more about that poached 490 bull?

I heard something about it from another source today. Possible they saw the info here but not sure.

Thanks Stan! 57" inside spread has to be the biggest I've ever heard of.

Cheers,
Pete

They sure dont make em like that in Idaho! I'd sure like to have someone prove me otherwise though!

Ya know Stan,
You guys keep shgooting these little ones, there never gonna have a chance to get big for me!! Talked to John and Randy the other day, looks like you guys are slayin' em again. Did you make it up to the store the other week? Someone had stopped in looking for me, thought it might have been you. Talk to you later. Patrick

bobcat did you see the pic of the other monster bull on this site . It supposedly came from Idaho Anyhow this is a great typical bull from arizona nowhere grows em like coconino county.

Speechless, what a monster! Nice job McClendon and Co. You guys are my heros, seriously. I hope this is on film, cause I love getting your videos, very well done.
