More like Muley country than Elk country, but that sure is a nice Bull and no mistake about the open country either.

Congrats on an awesome bull! Im glad you were the one who was able to harvest it! After seeing that bad boy live this year, I was hoping someone would tag him so we could see how big he scores!!

FOr those who dont remember, this is the bull I posted in SHOOTER BULL?? Many of us underestimated this bull!!.

Jake, when you have a chance, shoot me an email. I'll burn you a disk with the pictures I have of this bull live and will mail them to you!!

Congrats on an incredible bull there Jake! Was he on the Oquirrh/Stansbury unit?

That perfect 6x6 with massive whale tails is my dream. Hopefully in the next few years.

Nice hook up there Scott. Cool to see you have those pics.

Cheers,
Pete

Congrats man. His whale tails are pretty freakin' big as well as the rest of him. Anyways thats cool to see such a great bull come out of the desert. I had an archery deer tag this year for the west desert but I never did see any elk. Anyways congrats...

sweet bull
thats what dreams are made of

Tuff guy
those are some nice pics
what camera are you using?

Tuffbucker, I cant beleive thats the bull you posted earlier. We way underestimated that bull, even Balndingboy said "we wouldnt shoot him on the San Juan" 384!!!!! Holy crap, just like the sheds I posted earlier this year that are closer to 400 than anything else, most people said 360!!!! HAHAHAH.....Nice bull man, glad you got some live pics, and even better for the lucky hunter that was able to harvest him.

Bonefreak,

I am using a Panasonic FZ-10.

Tony,

Its amazing how off we can be when we estimate scores. When my brother in law first saw this bull, I told him it would be a 380 class bull. Then I second guessed myself and figured 365 sounded better. Im glad I ended up being wrong. I cant wait to hear the story of this hunt!! Hopefully the hunter will post more pics and the story soon.

SCOTT

Congratulations, that's a great bull!

That area has produced some great elk in the past. Who knew the sagebrush would hold animals like that. Anyone remember the governers tag holder, somewhere near 1997-1998? This guy shot a bull that was like 60" wide and scored around 405". It was said it would have been the state record at the time, however, there was some question about the whether it was fair chase.

I have live video of this bull as well as part of the hunt. Wished I could get it transferred. Maybe someone can dig up a pic for us? I believe it was featured in Eastmans...

How cool is that? To have someone else send you pics of your bull " still on the hoof". That is a great connection. Sweet bull too.
