hey slider,

Just West of Whistlin Jacks is Milk Lake. At the lake stay left and head up towards the switchbacks. There is a very big bull in the basin on the south side of the road. Further up the pass hit the FS70 or Little Naches rd. You will cross over the little Naches river several times, when you hit the big meadows start hunting!! We saw several screamin bulls from Timothy meadows to Green Pass and all the way up to the crest trail.

Uhum...green pass, down low is all I can say!! There is a very arrogant 6x6 that has the be dealt with......lol We had him at 20-30 yards a few times but no clear shot. He is a stud!

Good luck,
Bob

How was your hunt Slider? If Bob D. is out there, how was your hunt? I'm curious because I hunt elk in that district.

We couldn't find any elk in the usual areas. I think the later archery season must be pushing them out of the easy areas. Either that or they're simply being less vocal. I ended up shooting a spike on the 8th. Did see a couple of big bulls but wasn't quick enough to get a shot off, and they didn't weren't interested in coming in to cow calls.
