How long do elk stay in the rut??

I was just wondering how long will elk be bugling into the rut and post rut a friend of mine is got a hunt oct. 8-12 and another buddy of mine is got a hunt on oct 15-19 so i was just wondering if the elk will still respond to call aggressively and if they will still bugle. just wondering, any help would be a appriciated

Elk will still bugle way into october here, all it takes is a cow coming into season late.I've had young bulls come to cow calling in november!
