Here is a pic of the Bull that my Brother in law pulled off Boulder mountain last week. It was with his muzzleloader and rough scores at just over 395. It is an awsome bull.

Hope this works, first time posting something.

that is a very nice bull!

what is the second muzzleloader in the first picture for. was there sombody else with a tag or was that for a quick second shot without needing to reload.

My brother-in-law and his son both drew the same tag. They were hunting together. My nephew got a nice bull as well and did it with a broken arm that he had surgery on a week and a half before the hunt.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-06-05 AT 05:15PM (MST)[p]Man if that thing is 395, I've been seeing ALOT of 400 bulls this year! Anyone want in on one? That is a nice bull though!

Elk

I have held out too long. That is not a 395 Bull. Nice Bull but a 330-340 bull.

Nice Bull but that score doesn't look to be right, but then I'm not a scorer either. Who scored this Bull and under which scoring method?

Congrats on a good bull. I have to agree, it's not a 395 bull. 325 maybe. At least the mule is packin' something out!!

DON'T YOU GUY'S KNOW THATS WHAT THE TAIL IS FOR???

LOL!!!

NICE BULL!!!

THE ONLY bobcat THINKING THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A USE FOR A TAIL!!!

I held judgement on the 395 from the first picture as you couldn't see any of the tines, but I agree with everyone else that it is probably closer to the 340 range.
Had a guy telling me about a 389 bull his dad in law shot. Had him send me pic's and I had the same problem with that bull. I had to call him back and quiz him down, and was asking him length of the tines, trying not to sound like I was skeptical, and when he read off the 6th point measurement of 19.5 inches, on a 6X6 bull, I figured out what he had done. He had scored the main beam, from the 5th back, a second time. This took off almost 40" which then put the bull back where it was reasonable. Funny that the next guy I talked to who had killed a nice bull, had also done the same thing. I was standing there looking at his bull when he told me the score. I hated to be the bearer of bad news, but told him that looked awful big. He had his score sheet there and he had done the same thing...
Maybe that is the case here???

LAST EDITED ON Oct-07-05 AT 06:56AM (MST)[p]PS...I thought the tail was for steering on a mule!!!!
hehe

Oh, and by the way, that is still a nice bull, regardless of the score!! Congrats to the hunter and his son!!

you have to remember them Utard folks are just figuring out what trophy elk are! Us AZ folks have had more time to figure it out! LOL

that's a great bull and he ain't no farm fed sucker neither. looks like you did it right with horses and remote country. he might not be 395 after the 60 day dryin' period, but he was when they scored him. scorin' elk is like measurin' fish. the guy with the tape gets to tell the story. good job fellers.

Congrats on a great bull no matter what it scores...It's 300 whatever bigger then any bull I have ever killed

Way nice bull High Fives for ya
Don't you guys know ya always score a bull like ya do a cats tail or your peter!!! Always score it from the A$$ hole. Or you can score it like you do fish. Just lie.
