I am a new poster to Monster muleys, but have been looking at this site for years. I often visit this site and imagine what it will someday be like to harvest one of the truley magnificent trophies that so many of you have. I have gotten so much advise from so many of you, and while we have never spoken, and you have no idea who I am, I feel as if I know so many of you so well. That being said, I turn to you all for your prayers in a time of need for some very good friends of mine.
Last week, a dear friend and his son were killed returning from Elk camp in North Eastern Oregon when their pickup and horse trailer was side swiped by an alleged drunk driver, pushing them off the road and into Pine Creek near the small town of Halfway. The father was a longtime Janitor for the Henley schools in Klamath County. He was a friend to all he worked with, including the kids he cleaned up after. He was a huge supporter of the athletics programs at Henley High School and was leaving camp early to get to a state tournament to watch his grand daughter and her friend play.
Many of us talk about how important the hunting season is. We look forward to it all year long. Nothing seems so important at times. For Joe, while he enjoyed the time spent in the woods, he knew that seeing his grand daughter play, supporting her in what she loved, was more important than chasing a big bull around the mountain. Let us all take a minute to think about what is truely important in life. Let us make time for those that really matter to us.
Please keep the family of Joe and Mark Arant in your prayers tonight. Rest In Pease Joe and Mark!
