Last week some teenage idiots went out and shot 3 bear in the San Juan Unit, a sow and 2 cubs. What should be there consequence for such a crime? Now I believe they had to have been doing this for some time now, because how do you slaughter 3 bear just like that, I would think maybe they have shot several before that which gave them the stupidity to continue the poaching. I believe one of the teenagers involved has guided for Doyle Moss, I hope that Doyle doesn't use this guide ever again in the future, the teenagers need to loose there guns, vehicles, hunting rights, 5 years per animal, so 15 years. Plus a fine, I would say since the san juan bear tag that was sold at the SFW banquett sold for around $6,000 then they should pay that price for each bear shot, so $18,000.

The kids need punished but 15 years each to teenagers for a few bears? You're advocating ruining their lives over a stupid animal. Fine them, take their vehicles, revoke hunting rights, hours of community service but give them a chance to redeem themselves.

I think he implied 15 years of revoked hunting privileges.
Not 15 years in the slammer.

I think 15 yrs without a license is exactly what these two young fellas need. And then I'd look real hard at the Dads to these boys because USUALLY someone with a passion for hunting teaches their children the same, and I don't see any ethics here on them boys behalf.

It would be at least fair to say 15 years of no hunting privileges, plus fines, community service, etc. Situations like this need to be treated seriously by the judicial system.
Good grief, child molesters don't even get 15 years in the joint most of the time, so don't count on teen poachers getting too harsh of a sentence. It would be nice to see an example made of them.
