Here are some pics of my my Utah muzzle loader Elk. It was a limited entry tag I Shot him on Monday Oct 6. I've had a lot of problems with the pics Sorry it took so long to post. He ends up scoring around 296. The bull had about seven or eight cows that he was pushing.

I used 100 gr of triple x pellets, and the powerbelt ballistic tip 348 gr. The Bull didn't take a step he dropped right in his tracks. I shoot a Remington ml 700 with 209 primer.

Jeremy, I've been playing around with a similar load of 100grn pellets & 348grn in Hollow Points Power-Belts instead of Ballistic Tips. I have a Knight ML. Did you try both before settling on the others?

Looks like yours did a right fine job!!!---Thanks / ElkNut1

Nice Bull Jeremy. Glad to finally see it. Looks like you have had a great year. Congrats.

Sorry i didn't try any other loads besides this one. My gun actually shoots better with xtp bullets tompson sabots and 100 gr of clean shot powder. I don't think that they make this powder anymore.

I think I messed up on the date I think it was the third of OCT. My hunt ran from Sept. 28 to Oct. 6. It was tough hunting First off the area we had scouted all summer had sevey crews in it for the entire week before our hunt the kept flying their helicopter over our area stopping and hovering all of the canyons looking at wildlife. Needless to say all of our scouting was worthless. It took us three days to even see an elk in differnt areas on our unit . We happened to stumble onto this area were the Elk were still hot. Then a couple days later I was lucky enough to harvest an animal. My dad had the same tag and was unsuccessful in filling his tag. I hunted the entire season from start to finish, and am confident that if I hadden't shot this bull I also would have benn unsuccessful.
