Deer CCs getting hit

So for those in the know I'm in a group where my buddy?s card got hit mine didn't when I checked the card on file it was a card I just got a replacement for so I updated it, am I screwed or will they try it again?

Appears the deer points are finally gone for me. Looks like I'll get to hunt 4th season as my final year as a resident.

Thanks I called them and they said just like you are saying I will get an email telling me to update my card, glad they have this in place so guys don't loose tags over something like that.

A bunch did last year cause they didnt update their cards or contact info, or they just couldn't afford em after drawing them. There were some sweet tags in the leftovers because of it.

I'm guessing a lot of people draw other tags and decide not to get them or figure out they can't go and give them back, my bank decided to send me a new card for whatever reason after I submitted my app and I never thought to update it but I have now updated it. Other states you loose the tag so I'm glad colorado doesn't do that.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-04-19 AT 10:21PM (MST)[p]I just got a hit for $396.75. My antelope points increased by one today, so I know it's not that. It has to be deer, but my first choice was 25 4th season with only 4 points. It took 5 points for a chance at that tag last year and 6 to guarantee. My second choice was also a 4th season that historically takes at least 3 to draw. I know 25 may not be what it once was, but I'm not used to point creep down in Colorado. What's up?

>Got some calls from buddies. My
>card not hit.. maybe
>next year ☹️

Well. I take it back. Just got hit. My 15 YO son will be hunting 4th season mulies. ?

Do they go through all choices per applicant before moving on? i put a tough unit to draw as my 1st and a way easier for my 2nd that I was hoping to draw.

They go through all applicant's first choices before they move on to anyone's 2nd choices.

Last year's draw recap report provides everything you need to know strategy-wise, in advance of applying.

Makes sense, thanks for the reply.

No cc hit yet for me. My Deer points are still the same as last year on my account though. Anyone know what that means?

Hit for deer

If Hunting and Angling Ended
There is no alternative funding system
in place to replace the potential lost
funds for conservation. If hunting and
angling end, funding for wildlife
conservation, including enforcement of
all wildlife laws, will be jeopardized.
Hunters, anglers and shooters actively
support wildlife conservation through
tangible actions such as buying licenses
and paying taxes on hunting, fishing and
shooting equipment. Why are hunters and
anglers so willing to support
conservation through their pocketbooks?
Because people place added value on ?
and are willing to pay for ? what they
can use.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-04-19 AT 07:40PM (MST)[p]Yes!
I have a Cabelas CC and just checked and my card got hit for 39.75.

My Preference Point Balance still says 15 may take a while for the points to change?

Didn't get an Email from CPW yet either that may also take a while later tonight ?

So it looks like I will be hunting as Res GMU 67 4th season for buck deer.

Will need to get over to Gunnison in the next few weeks and look around and put some cams out. It's been a long dry spell as far as deer go for me.

Good Luck to all in the draw.

Alright!! Got a deer charge for a Nr buddy and I on a second choice muzz tag. Cabelas visa this afternoon...
Had a low chance but stoked! Congrats to all the others (buffs) as well!

Seeing hits for our deer as well. Looks like we will be point free on our last year as Colorado residents.

Wife and I are looking at pretty good 4th season tags, my daughter will have a 4th elk tag as well. It will be a fun Family week in the wall tent...

62 second season for me. Alot of people don't like that hunt because of so many Elk hunters but when you get off the roads its not bad.

>correct?

Incorrect.

Buckmaster28, they will contact you and ask how you plan to pay for the tag if you were drawn and you CC didnt work.

>We will still see a 40
>dollar charge for the prefence
>point if we are unsuccessful,
>correct?

There are only pp fees for the big 3, moose sheep and goat. Until they change their mind in the near future.

Did points only for first choice, and drew second choice. I know you can turn a tag back in and either get points or the money back but not both. However I didn't draw the tag with my points, has anyone ever seen this scenario? I'm thinking of turning it back in as I've drawn other tags in some states that I want to focus my time on.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-06-19 AT 03:34PM (MST)[p]

Pretty sure you can turn a second choice back in for a refund and not lose your points. You have a window right now where you can turn it back as a ?reversal? and they wave the $15 processing fee. After that $15 That offer expires on June 14. Call 303-297-1192

You can turn a second choice tag back for a refund and keep your points. I did it with an archery elk tag last year.
