Uintas Any Bull Help

Well guys, it's that time of the year when all of the hunts have been over for a while, scouting is still a long way off, and we turn in our applications hoping to finally draw a tag. It's also a great time of year to start researching a few new spots to check out for the upcoming year. With that in mind, I am looking for a little help on locating some elk in the Uintas. I bowhunt and have spent the past few years searching for a remote place to chase some bulls. I have found a couple of spots that hold a few elk, but still not what I am looking for. In high school I called in a nice 5x6 only to miss him at 16 yards and I have been hooked ever since.

Just like the rest of you once I do find a place I won't be telling anyone about it. So obviously I'm not looking for specifics, or exact locations. I just want to know if I am looking in the right place. With so little time to scout, especially with the time commitment it takes to tackle the Uintas, I would rather focus my efforts on one or two spots each year than trying to check them all. Anyway I have a few spots on both the North and South Slopes that I have been looking at. If you have any experience and would be willing to help out, send me a private message and I will be more specific. Thanks boys and goodluck!

Im not sure you can find a honey hole in the Uintahs....Ive hunted south slope and north slope for years.... there are plces where there are some elk but no any place you going to find alot in one area... too much area and too few elk.

Seems the most popular way to hunt elk in that country is to drive around on your atv and bugle from the roads till one answers, then chase it down. you will need a driver so you can do the shooting at 40 mph from the back. good luck
