It's been 5 years since I drew a tag. Granted I put in for quality areas, but not even a whiff of a tag. So the last couple of years I've been looking at General areas. The one thing I noticed in Wyoming is some of the areas tags have dropped as much as 50%. Not only elk, but deer and antelope as well. I know drought, the wolves and management objectives. But what about there are less hunters today than at any other time because of it's more expensive, we're coming out of a recession and less new hunters. I have a friend who always pays the Special tag and he draws a good bit. Is it just a way to manipulate the supply and demand process to increase funding for G&F or is it a real conspiracy to stop hunting by the common person. And please don't think I'm picking on Wyoming, it's a very special place for me and the state I love to hunt the best, but Utah, Colorado are doing strange things also. What is you guys opinions?
