Are all the archery hunts for Elk, application only or do they still offer certain areas OTC?
I've read the regs online and several GMU are either sex with antler point restriction of 4 and unlimited tags.
Any feedback is appreciated.

Most areas are still OTC. As a general rule, if a unit is not listed as being a draw unit, it is OTC.

If you look on page 24-25 of the regs (yes the new ones are out)it will show all the draw units for archery. This hunt code, E-E-000-U1-A (either sex archery), is listed for "open" units under the statewide archery tag. There is another stipulation in the 1st paragragh under archery elk too you might want to read.

Thank you for the feedback fellas.
With all the changes going on in several states,I'm trying to make a plan B. I haven't hunted Colorado in over 20 years and am trying to put together a fallout plan where one doesn't have to rely on pref points or lottery.
Oregon,Idaho, and Colorado seem to be the only states left with OTC areas to hunt if one doesn't draw.I enjoy hunting my favorite honey holes as much as the next guy but if I can't draw I still want the option to get out and hunt.
