I am looking for info and advice on a Elk hunt for this year in the Montrose area.I've hunted unit 65 in the Silverjack Res. area during 2nd rifle, but my experience with the overall area is pretty limited.Our preference this time would be to base out of or near the Montrose area.We each have 1 preference point,and would like to hunt the muzzleloader season, but with the changes to the nonresident draw,I dont know if we have any chance to draw.Will 1 point give us a chance.From my DOW booklet it appears our choices would be 63,64,65, but not 62.Is that correct?I wouldn't mind corresponding by PM to someone who would be willing to answer questions from a nonresident on how to best understand the regulations, and put together a hunt. Thanks in advance.
