Me and a buddy are applying for this unit/season...he's never hunted CO and I've only been a resident for 6 years (hence the simple unit)...anybody ever hunted elk (1st rifle)here...I've hunted for deer in 2nd & 3rd in this unit and have always run into 3 million elk hunters but wanted to know if anybody has experience with 1st season...just opinions not honey holes.
