There is a train a comin, it's rolling round the bend and soon the GOP will have to chose. A brokered convention handed to Jeb? A sure loss, but he's not too smart, can be bought, and knows the game. He is the Heavyweight when it comes to party endorsements by a huge margin and he'll play along. (Donald, you'll never be President!) Brokered Convention = Instant 30% membership loss in the party for 2020.

Or

Back the Donald and fail the other 70% who will feel he doesn't represent the Republican Party. As such they will either not show up at the polls, leave the party, or both.

Wonder what they'll call themselves then?

Trump is the most hated of all candidates at the moment, hated more than Cruz, Fiorina or Huckabee. Imagine that..even I do not hate the Donald more than those 3 turds.

Rubio is still in the picture for Republicans. As for the GOP candidates showing disproval among Democrats. What do you think the disproval rating would be for Hillary or Sanders among the GOP voters. Yep, very close to 95% and both are not that high in ratings among independent voters.

If Rubio is picked, I do not think Trump will run on a third party ticket. He would consider it if Bush was picked and maybe if Cruz is picked. I look for Trump and Cruz to flame out and Rubio pull ahead. As the other candidates leave the field, I look for them to pass their votes to the candidate that they think can win and that is Rubio and most of them do not like Trump since he took turns bashing all of them at one time or another.

FW, your anguish is beginning to show and you are now grasping at straws just hoping your limp wrist liberal candidate will win. I think that 8 years of limp wrist Obama has soured the public on electing another limp wrist liberal and Hillary is just seen as a rich lying old woman that is crooked by a large amount of voters.

FW, you remind me of a time long ago when I was standing in line at the voting prescient. I overheard a older woman that can be described as poor white trailer park type.
She stated to the woman next to her that she only votes for Democrats on the ticket no matter what.
I asked her if Nikita Khrushchev was running for office would she vote for him. Her reply was, "if he is a Democrat, I will vote for him".

If Trump gets the votes and has the nomination taken from him and given to some single digit loser you can bet your azz he'll run as a 3rd party. you think he has any love for the GOP ? he'd run on the ISIS ticket if he thought his chances were better. get real oldtimer, you smoking that geritol now?


Don't you fret yourself about the democrats. Sanders and Hillary can both beat Trump or either one of your island beaners. you need a perfect storm.

The republicans only chance is to nominate trump and hope Hillary actually does get something that sticks to her and old Bernie dies before November.

Thank you for sharing that story RELH and I now understand why you voted for Bush twice. Because like that woman you decided if the box has an (R) in front of it, they must be the best for the job...I get it now.

Let's not dodge the issue...will it be the 30 or the 70%. Party member have begrudgingly fallen into line with Romney and McCain, that ain't gonna happen this time. People are going to be pissed off whoever it is.
