I drew a Nevada unit 111 archery elk tag and wanted to see if anyone had some advice. I know most of the hunting takes place in 111 & 222. I will start by ordering maps of those areas. I have a 330 & 340 bull on the wall already. Hope to find one to beat these. Thanks.

ZIM...are these Bull Elk on the left side or right side
of your Bull Buffalo?

Sweet tag to have Ken!!

Happy for ya! be safe and enjoy the opportunity..

If ya need anything let me know, I'll be scouting over there in a few of your elk units for my muley and antelope tags...

Brian drew the late rifle tag same units...!

I was a bit surprised when I saw the archery harvest success rate in 111 was one of the lowest in Nevada at about 50%. However, that is misleading because the same was true of Arizona unit 1 and I thought a blind man could arc an arrow up any ridge and have a good chance of hitting a bull there. Must be some picky hunters.

See, no one can stay away from MM. All talk and no action.

Oh and good luck on your hunt. I hear those elk are scared of guys who are 6'5". Seriously I hope you kill a good bull and have a good hunt.

OK. I have a feeling this hunt is going to ge very well. I already went through my gear checklist, ordered a few items, and have everything together stacked in the corner.

Only thing left is reviewing my maps for more spots to consider. Gotten some advice for places to start.

Would like to try that Moriah Wilderness for a 3 day bivy hunt at some point. Looks to be only 3-4 miles in to the Table area. Anybody familiar the best way in there? The area biologist is out of town now.

Several Pack Trails to the TOP,but I believe the shortest way in is from 4 mile crk rd,#369.Get here by taking the 8 mile Ranch Rd,from Hwy 6/50.Before "Hiking In" check out Mud Sprgs and East into Water Canyon. These areas are about half way into trail head to the Wilderness.Tag a "Big Un" ---
