DRAWED UNIT 15 EARLY ML TAG NEED HELP NEVER HUNTED NM ELK ANY ONE HAVE TIPS OR HOT SPOTS TO GET ME STARTED?

Dang that is an great tag.

Hunted it about 6 years ago on early ml. Then archery 2 years ago.

There are some very big bulls in there.

Got some info for you. Email me.

Guys , why lie, there are hardly any big bulls let alone elk in that country . Geeze !!!!

See , this is what ya do , try and remember what you did the day you applied , once your memory is locked in on the events , you go and do the same thing but this time you buy a lotto ticket !

Congrats on a smoker tag!!!

I also drew a unit 15 early muzz tag. It is the first tag that I have ever drawn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am actually thinking about hiring an outfitter due to the fact that I won't be able to scout. I have a really good LE tag in Idaho for the rifle hunt starting October 1st. This year filled up really fast.

WDS...
crazyaboutcoues is not joking... there some TOADS in 15... You might want to give his service a try. For the money it is the way to go. I have used him and I live in NM.... Getting a 15 tag is something that should not be wasted, it is public land so some local knowledge will go a LONG WAY... and with gas prices what they are it will also probably save you some CASH... :)

Me and the wallet would prefer a DIY deal if possible. Is that feasible on limited time. I live in Ohio so weekend scouting throughout the summer end is not possible.

Hunting 15 is not that hard, if you have a game plan. Tommy and his DIY service will hook you up. When I first hunted the unit I did not have faith in any of my spots so I spent ALOT of time coming and going to places and not hunting... When Tommy says there are elk in an area you better believe him.
