california 405 bull tag klamath

I don't have the regs in front of me, but is that down river in Siskiyou county, off the klamath river, I knew a guide down there and it's a tuff hunt, consider getting a guide or a info package, once in a life time hunt for a Cali resident...

The guide's name is McBroom and he's very good. They were featured in a program on the outdoor channel last year. If you want to use their service you had better get ahold of them fast because they get booked up real quick. You can call Kathy McBroom at (530) 462-4617. Her husband is the guide and she is the cook for the camp. Great people.

Congratulations it's a great hunt, a little tough but nice elk.

By the way, this is not Herb this is his wife Carolyn. He is over the hill in Sawyers Bar and I am here checking the draw results for CA and NM.

That is a very hard hunt and I would sugest getting a guide for sure. My wife has drawn the Big Lagoon and Del Norte and both time there was a guide on the hunts by the name of Cary Jellison (sp)?. He is a great guy and knows is stuff. He guided 2 guys from here 2 years ago on the Klamath and both got good bulls. I think he pretty much hunts Klamath every year. He told me the last 5 days is much better than the first few days. There was a kid here in town that had it last year and killed a monster. The thing looked like a red stag. He and his dad did it on there own but i think they said he shot it on the last day or the 2nd to last day of the season and said it was the only one they saw. They had been on the hunt before that and still had a hard time. I would look up Cary J and find out what he cost it used to be really reasonable like 1800 or 2000 dollars. Good luck

Is that the Klamath hunt or the Marble Mountain hunt??
I know Dean (Mcbroom) and i don't think he guides the Klamath hunt, (but he might?) If you drew a Marble Mountain tag and are lookin for a guide, McBroom is your guy, The best there is!!
