Just recieved a call from the Game & Fish office about drawing a tag and not being charged until today. Has anyone else had this occur.

Saw this on bowsite...

"This is interesting--a friend of mine got a call Thursday from NMDGF. They said that due to credit card denials there was a tag available for his 3rd choice unit-- 5b. Asked if he wanted the tag as he was next in line. So now he's going elk hunting."

Looks like the same may have happened to you. What unit?

I got a voice mail today asking if I wanted an Ibex tag. She told me I had until noon tomorrow to decide!

Anyone been on this hunt or know anything about it? I have heard it is like an extreme sheep hunt and that you need to be in shape or stay home. With 4 other hunts tentatively on the books I am trying to decide if it will be worth getting divorced over. With the Arizona draw results to go the decision is even more difficult.

jamaro, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but deer is over the counter once you draw out. The six dollar application fee is all the dg&f charges online. If you were unsuccessful I doubt that will change. Sorry.

Which hunt is it , bow , muzzle or rifle ???If its rifle or muzzle loader hunt , I'd jump all over that hunt . The Floridas are extreme for certain , but trophy quality is there , and it has some monster billies.If its a bow tag , well , you have to ask yourself , how die hard of an archery hunter are you , cuase thats about as much a challenge a there is in north america for a bow hunter.

I called NMG&F and was told I was in for the the muzzleloader/bow hunt in February (5 tags total). After researching previous posts last night and after talking with a local outfitter, who confirmed everything you said, I gave them my credit card number. I even got it cleared with my wife!

my nephew found out today that he drew a unit 4 bull tag in the Sargents.. He said that he was #16 in the draw of 15 and somebody's credit card did not have the funds so it bumped him up.

It was one of those days when i didnt want to go to work.The phone rang and the # was unavailable and i usually dont answer unless the # appears.So i picked up and they told me someone didnt have funds in their account and i was next in line to purchase the tag.unit 16 c Q/HD first rifle.Made the whole day fly by.Make sure you answer unavailable calls later
