Received this e-mail with these pictures and from what I got it was killed in Tenn. last week. The text said that the hunter was headed to his tree and as he crossed a Bean Field with his Tree Stand still on his back. He said that the deer got up and walked towards him at 15 yards, so he shot that Buck. Very weird and no one had ever seen a Buck in this shape back there.

Good lord...

If I shot that thing my next action would be to dig a hole... a deeeeeeppp hole.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-20-05 AT 06:11AM (MST)[p]That deer comitted suicide!!! Who could blame him? The game department should take that deer for tests and not make the hunter use his tag. That has got to be some kind of cancer?

I am pretty sure that buck knew what he was doing when he walked to the hunter like that - pure mercy kill. He should be given another tag for sure on that deal. No way would I eat that meat anyway.

Wow.

Very sad to see an animal in that condition.
Hope someone does a follow up and lets us know of what the animal came down with.

That's tough to look at. Forget digging a hole! I would be tempted to light the mass on fire! Just looks too contagious! Heck I'm scratching my head and itching just after looking at the picture.

I don't think I'd want that nasty thing in the back of my truck! Was it killed near one of the TVA's nuclear reactors?

I wouldn't touch that thing, let alone put it in my truck, gasoline and a match that thing. That is freaky. Wonder if he tried to pop one, kind of sick.

The Game and fish needs to put up some kind of animal STD clinic. The poor buck.... must of got with that dirty doe from up the street!

Oh, so they are kind of like meatballs or chicken nuggets? Cool! A new and exciting way to "spice" up camp meat! Some of them are big enough to cover a hamburger bun! I've gotta go, I'm gettin' huuuuuuuuungry!

That reminds me of bucks we found one year in the Book Cliffs, must have been in the '80s. My group killed a couple bucks that had weird growths on them but there were only a few on each buck and they were large, like 8" - 10" diameter and a couple inches thick. Never seen anything like that before or since.

For some reason, I keep coming back to this thread. Although I scroll past the pictures REALLY FAST!

(I've been itchy all day)

Forget the arrow. A friggin can of gas and a match. I think the guy should get some heavy duty disinfectant for the bed of the truck!

Notice that the guts are still in it? I guess that the dude is going to make a delicious deer haggis! Mmmmm,mm,mmmmm.........!
