I just talked to my neighbor who ended up eating a Central Utah Late Season Elk tag. He hunted every day, but came up empty. He said it was the toughest hunt he has ever been on. I am curious if all of the late season elk hunts are tough to connect on. Anyone else have similar problems?

Nebo and Wasatch will be really tough next year. They will be non-existant. Rumor has it DWR is doing away with these 2 hunts. It may be a good thing. These hunts have traditionally been a slaughter.

It's always an adventure!!!

My neighbor's hunt was on the Manti Unit. He said it was tough finding bulls and then he missed a long shot on the ones he saw.

I think it depends on the unit and pre-season scouting. I went with my buddy this year on a late season hunt. It was fantastic. In fact I'm going to put in next year for the late hunt. But every year seems to be different. If we would have gotten 3 feet of snow, who knows how it would be.
