checked my record for bonus points have applied every year from 2000-2006 drawn 2000-2001-2005 archery bull, record should have shown 1-point for 2006 application and 1-loyalty point it only showed the 1-point for applying has this happened to anyone else and how do I get this fixed

It is like that for everybody. Don't know why, but G&F doesn't have the loyalty points listed. If you call them, they will tell you that you do have the point. Not sure why they don't list it on the web, probably cause it would be too easy and convenient. I would call and just double check that you have it though. So whats the secret to getting all them archery bull tags? I've been applying for bull elk and have not drawn one tag in 17 years. And thats as a resident.

It's Bush's fault!!!

Loyalty points aren't showing up for anyone, so no worries there. There only reason I figure that they are not displaying loyalty points, is that you don't get to keep it, until you apply for the next hunt. Basically, you don't really earn your loyalty point until you have applied for 5 consecutive years, and you must continue to apply, earning your point for each year, therefore the only time to really county loyalty points is during the actual drawing. After the drawing, it's basically worthless again. Clear as mud?

Question. When you apply, you do continue to get the loyalty point if you only apply for points, correct? I wasn't sure about this last year, so I applied my son for a Kaibab deer tag, and he drew it. I was really only intending to continue his points, but figured if he drew, might as well draw a really good tag.

Can we apply for bonus points only, and retain the loyalty point?

You can find out how many points you have on the phone at anytime.

It's going to be interesting to see how many people miss out on the elk applications this year with it being early.

I hope a bunch...:)

Thanks for the info I will call and follow instructions. Prism the less it is talked about the better your odds of getting a tag. Sremim just lucky is all I can say and I don't apply for 1-8-9-or10 our best bull to date was a 355 I hope your young if it takes me 17 yrs. for my next one i'll still go but i'll probably be sittin a water hole in wheelchair goodluck to all

I second that. I wonder if it being so close after Christmas a lot of people wont have the money either. But since they wont charge until the drawing is complete in March, enough people might be able to pay down their Christmas debt and still afford it. Too bad they don't make you pay up front, that would really eliminate a lot of apps.

It's about time AZ moved the drawing date up. I think it was pitiful to give guys a 45 day or about that heads up that they drew. Heck, a lot of guys i know need a 60 day vacation lead time with thier bosses!

Good thing is that you can get some good scouting time in. If I were to pull a lope tag, I would be getting to know the area in March/April and blasting some yotes at the same time. I like the early draw. If someone pulls a bull tag, they may skip on applying for elk in another state, i.e., NM.
