Received these pictures from "fldrw22" and he said it was his nephew's Bull in Nevada. Congrats to the hunter and finally in last picture the outfitter/guide has a "smile".

the pictures are of my nephew and family freind John S.,The bull is my nephews first elk ,He drew a Nevada tag after only two years of appliing .Definately not a bad way to start off youre elk hunting career.Congrats on a fine bull .

this is my first bull. I have only been applying for about 3 years, when i got this tag. We got up to our area the night before opening day, and got situated. We got up the next morning and went to the spot we were going to hunt. The temp was about -15, and as soon as we got out of the truck, the hoses on our camelbacs froze solid. We only saw one 5 point that morning, and that was the last thing we saw that day. The next day we didnt see anything all day long. Then around 4:00, right before sunset, we saw about 200 elk on the side of a mountain, but it was too late to start stalking. The next morning we got to the spot, and basically hiked up the side of a mountain. Our guide/friend, spotted 6 bulls on the next ridge,so we hiked over to where we could get a good look at them. We must have looked at the bulls for about an hour before we decided to try and get a shot. When we got over to where they were closer, we saw them laying under a tree. Once we got in range for a shot, we sat and waited for them to get up. They werent moving, so john (our friend) cow called and they finally got up. I shot 4 times, and finally blew out his front shoulder. We only had time to gut it and cape it before it got dark. So we left it on the side of the hill and came back the next day. We got to the Mountain at around 11:30, and started up the side. By the time we boned the elk out, and got done packing it down the canyon ( the truck was about 4 miles down) it was 9:30 at night.
