BUGLELK:

Nice buck thanks for sharing. How do you convert digital video to pictures of that quality? I would like to convert some stuff I have as well. Any suggestions?

BugleElk,
Awesome buck man! And awesome pics especially off of video. I wish I could get quality like that off my video. Thanks for sharing. I just love how everyone is posting up pics this year. Keep them Coming!

I have a ton of video of big bucks that I've taken the last 5-6 years. However, I always had just average video cameras, and the video quality was mediocre, at best. Every time I tried capturing still photos off the video, it was terrible. So I bought a new video camera last year that will take 1.0 Mpixel stills, as well as some of the highest quality video without getting into a GL2 or VX2000. After I take the video, I can watch the footage, and if I want a still photo, I just push the video button, and it automatically sends it to the memory card, with a decent resolution. It's nowhere near as clear as the video, but it is good enough. I'm sure if I learned to use an editing tool, I could clean the pictures up even more.

For comparison, here is a picture taken with the new camera vs. one with my old camera...

Both were taken in similar lighting conditions.

BUGLE,

What type of camera is the new one. Im looking for a new vid setup. Thanks in advance.

Great buck(s)! Yeah what state are you doing your videoing in? Thanks for the pictures!

I believe he's in Idaho. Please correct me if I'm wrong. All I can say is wow, that buck has got to be at least 30 inches! (probably less, but I'm an optimistic!) I'd shoot him for sure!

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome, right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.
