This is a photo of a family friend that was an amazing tracker and deer hunter. This is the last buck he killed on the arizona strip or southern Utah in 1992 nobody but he knows exactly where. Some of you strip regulars have probabally seen him driving Utah and Arizona in his camo jeep. He is 80+ now and is blind so his hunting days are over. Alot of big bucks should be thankful. This is a 195 net buck. That's a browning BAR with open sites.

I remember seeing that photo and a photo of the buck loaded on the jeep. That picture and several others of this guys bucks were on display at Judd Auto in Fredonia Az. It seems like they said that buck came from the sand hills on 12B.

I think I've read about that guy before. Seems he worked for the Fish and Game Department and lived in Mesquite, Nevada, but I can't for the life of me remember his name. The articles I read said he was one of the best, if not the best, trackers alive.

Great picture of a great buck.

He lived in Vejo, Utah and spent most of his time avoiding the F&G not working for them. I do believe him to be one of the best trackers around though.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-04-04 AT 01:04PM (MST)[p]Must be a different guy. The guy I was thinking of was/is named Ted Riggs, or something similar to that.

This is not Ted Riggs as I have seen pictures and an article before on Ted Riggs and this hunter is someone else. Probably just as good as Ted though.
If my memory serves me correctly, Ted Riggs was an employee with the F&G at one point in his life and that was how he knew where to hunt in AZ & Utah.

I've seen that pic in an old mans house in Cornville, AZ about 4-5 years ago. That is a real dandy buck..............

He even looks like Tedd, (not a good pic) you sure it ain't one of his pics..?..Tedd wore the same kinda hat and was some what thin lookin too.....?..

I sure would have like to be his hunting partner. hey jb did you ever get a chance to hunt with him.

Cool pic... BUT.. he is blind so he can not hunt but he is driving??? HUH??? Thanks for the unintended laugh.
