Colorado Unit 54 Pictures

No dead critters, but I thought I would post some pictures of some gorgeous country from our 1st season hunt this year. I can't wait for next year.

I agree, that Gunnison country is spectacular. Great looking pictures.

Chambero, I've hunted that area around beaver creek are those picture from there? It is beautiful country, those canyons are rugged arn't they. Did you guys see any elk or mulie bucks?

Nice pic of the "castle" in the last photo. Are those the Raggeds in #2? Been in that country for a few seasons before and it is as beautiful as it is rough. Some great pics!

With the exception of the photo of the Castles, the others are in the Soap Creek area near its juncture with East Soap Creek. Saw lots of deer, but didn't have a deer tag. We got caught in one heck of a lightning/wind storm the evening these pictures were taken. I picked a poor spot for our tent (too exposed) and wound up having to bail out of it due to nearby lightning strikes. I wound up spending most of the night in the rain with my sleeping bag over my head in an aspen grove dodging trees blowing down. It was one of those educational experiences.
