Powder River

We are planning for a hunting trip this year to the powder river breaks area, somewhere between Buffalo and Gillette, For mule deer. Does anyone have any info on this area that could be helpful? Or maybe recommend another area close by in Area C.

Area C is my home away from home. Big area though,lots of deer to see. If your wanting to hunt public land you will have to do alot of prescouting.Buy a good Blm map. Alot of the blm and state land is land-locked. However there are some good areas with not alot of pressure. If you got the General C tag you might as well get into the Bighorns, hardly anybody gets off the road these days to hunt. If you want a guaranteed big muley and want to go through the best outfitters in NE Wyoming, then I can set you up through Heart X Ranch & Outfitters. I've Guided hunts there the last 6 years. 100% since '98 w/150-180 class bucks. 5 star meals.

Mulie03, sorry for barging in on your guys's topic but my dad and i have gone to montana for the last 8 years and are looking to try some new area, just starting the process of researching. is there any info you could give me about these outfitter. sounds like you have done a great actually now an amazing job of guiding there.
