Help: D10 vs D13?

Okay, I'm doing a D12 down here with my buddies. And after doing some research I think I'm going to try D10 or D13 with 1 of my other friends.

I want to make a trip up there (from San Diego) before June to decide which zone I want to hunt. I'm going to try to get a feel for the land, locate water, food, etc...

I realize that there isn't much public land in D10, Tejon ranch taking up the majority of the area! But do you think it would be worth my time to get permission to trespass so I can reach the BLM land that IS there?

What are the biggest differences between these two zones?

I'll be forced to hunt a Friday thru Monday. What type of pressure do these deer face on the public land? Are they going to vacate the public areas for low pressure private land?

As always, thanks in advance!

Sincerely, Jesse.

I have hunted D13 and can tell you that it gets alot of pressure. The area can be really brushy in some places. If you do choose D13 the tag is interchangable with D11 and D15. In other words you can the same tag for all three zones. I understand D15 is in the San Diego area. The deer aren't really big the terrain is tuff and steep. So if not a local hunter D13 might be a challenge. I don't know enough about D10 to offer any help. But if you are interested I can tell you of some areas for D11 which is just the other side of the I5 from D13. Also I know of one good area in D13 send me a pm and I'll give you some specifics.
