Nev. Non Res Tags Increased

Just saw on the Nevada website that for 2004 the price of licenses and tags has gone up a bit more.

NR Hunting Lic. $142.00
NR Deer tag $240.00
NR Guide, Deer $300.00
NR Big Horn/Elk $1200.00

Add the $142.00 to each tag for the 2004 total cost.

I doubt many drop out, especially with the credit card charge after you draw deal. The points will cost more, but $30 will not be enough to drop many out.

You fooled me, Brian. I thought you had some good news - that the number of licenses was increasing, not the cost. I should have known. I'll still keep trying. Nevada does a good job with management and when you get a license, you usually have a quality hunt.

Guess I should have titled it: "Nev.Non-Res. License/Tag PRICE Increase".

Just reinforces my belief that the Wyoming G & F needs to push for change with it's pricing structure. I.e., if yer from Nevada, it should cost the same for a Nevada resident to apply for a Wyoming non-resident elk license as it would for a Wyoming resident to apply for a non-resident Nevada elk license. Could do the same for Arizona and a bunch of these states that are putting the screws to people on these non-resident tags. I've floated this idea by my legislative representative in the past. May have to keep pushing it...
