Browtine, I can't see it very well but I would bet that it is wrap for big round bales. They use different color nylon net wrap. And those boys must be in some farmers/ranchers field feeding on the bales or just pushing them around.

wierd, After I saw this post I went and checked the pictures I had taken of what I thought was the same elk..Its not..Here is a pic of a utah bull hanging out just off the point of the mountain. I took some pics of this bull a week prior and he had moved about 5 miles. Looks like he has the same stuff. Bushmaster, Thanks for the reply, I would bet your right on track..

All these pictures were taken in Utah. I keep my camera in my truck and take pictures as I'm driving into the valley to work.
