I just looked thru thier website, and I am really impressed. They have a detailed list of projects showing exactly were the money raised is spent. They also have the minutes to thier monthly meetings posted. If every consevation org was this above board, I think it would go along way to alleviate some concerns that many people have. In Arizona , it is obvious that the money raised from the two statewide muledeer tags is being put to very good use. IMO the ADA has set a standard for all state consevation orgs . They raised the bar. Really Impressive!

please let us know what the web site is so we all can appreciate what the Arizona deer association is all about
Also, they are having their banquet at the end of this month

It is a great organization. I remember a few months back people where talking about wanting a good organization to join and for the 25.00 a year or so, you get a good quarterly newsletter and all of your membership monies go directly into wildlife. ADA does not have any full time or paid employees and very few administrative costs. any money spent on admin has to be approved by the board, even things like how much the stage set up costs for the banquet so you know your cash goes to good use. Hope a few MM members go to the banquet Feb 21st at the fairgrounds, this is our annual fundraiser and we need support. There will be two Muley Governor tags auctioned off, one Coues governor tag auctioned off (its rumored that BUCKSPY will be the winning bidder LOL) and tons of guns raffled off along with artwork, walltents, optics etc.....hope to see you there.......... Allen Taylor......

Speaking of the AZ Gov Muley tags, how did this years hunters do? Any stats would be appreciated.

I think there was a post about that a few weeks back but I will check and find out Yolla......

How in the world can envious hunters be p#ssed off at the Gov. tag program? This is not that unusual that a permit holder go home empty handed. These programs are extremely beneficial to our herds and habitat.

As some of you may or may not know, Kalifornicated offers 5 Gov permits and it's not unusual for some of them to not kill for the year. The program has been in existence for about 8 years and every year at least 1 or 2 hunters will not punch their tag. I think it's admirable that they hold out for something that may or may not be available that year.

Now, if I can find 120K to purchase the AZ tag. Rick

Stan, thanks for responding I didnt make any calls so this is good info. Rick, I bet you could get one of the tags for 100K saving 20K......LOL......it does speak well for the Gov. tag program when alot of money comes in and some hunters dont fill the tags................ Allen Taylor......

One hunter did tag out...nothing has been released yet as to how big...the other hunter has not as of yet. He has until the end of the month. SCott G.
