I'm curious about the ranch in K-falls oregon...is it ready to hunt...?......

LOL what ranch in K-falls I am from there and know just about all of the ranches I am just trying to figuire out which ranch you are talking about Manny

I too am from K-falls, OR and am curious which ranch you are refering to? I know of alot of them around the area.

Where is there a ranch like that in Klamath? I too am from there and I would have certainly heard something.

Ok the Matthews Ranch there are 2 just ouside of Klamath one south and east of town about 36 miles. The other is near Swan Lake. so just a tad bit more info and i can really tell ya about those 2. But neither one of them are Producers of Monster Mule Deer the likes we see here on MM and what are shown in the record books. Sure they may take a 28" plus buck every 4-5 years. But nothing like what used to be in the Basin.

You do know that ebay deal is Maniacs place dont ya? I might stop by there in April when I go down to shed hunt. He's got some good horns to look at!

Hae to agree with HighDesert on this one. I have family out in Swan Lake and have spent a lot of time out their. I would rather hunt speed goats out there than Mule Deer. I think the biggest buck I have ever seen out there during the peak of the rut was maybe a 27-28" buck.

Maniac wrote about a ranch his dad had bought about a year or so ago and that it held some monsters, my brother lives in K-falls I thought it should have some good genetics..?.. and it's only 95 miles from my place.....

LAST EDITED ON Mar-03-04 AT 10:06PM (MST)[p]Manny what town are you in and what is your brothers name. However about Klamath I will make it short and sweet. Unless he has a Ranch that is South of Hwy 140 east and i mean almost on the Stateline then there are very very few mature bucks North of 140. The Klamath Indians Keep putting the big hurt on them. They spot light do whatever. Say a state Police officer stops them all they have to do is show there rez card and the only thing the officer can do is write them a citation for traffic. He cannot say a word about the animal. Mind you they get a 6 month plus season they go from August until December and they hunt these deer non stop and on top of that they get 2 deer a month along with an elk so say you have a trribal member with 3 kids and himself and his kids are all over 10 well the equals 8 deer and 4 elk a month and some of them do it just go out and hunt. Is the Genetics there It could be left over from the past but without controlling the Tribe as i said before there will be very very few deer left especially with a Indian Reservation with very lenient boundaries such as the Klamath Reservation

HighDesert' I live on the Cali side of the tracks in hornbrook off I-5, my bro's name is Gus, he and his wife run a group home for teens called Exodus house...I'm not sure where the ranch is I was under the impression maniac was going to be selling trespass hunts......?.......

you better be pretty good with a bow after spending 5 G's on a hunt, thats alot of cha-ching, and what do they mean boader's the pauns...?....

We are building a new log house over looking the Salmon river.
I put some specials on ebay that are 11 day 10 night stays starting at $750 since we with have more room than normal for the fall. Also a spring bear hunt combo/steelhead for $500.

The steelhead are here now and I caught 4 small ones yesterday.
We have a new web page for the BOVERY BIGHORN harvested in 1924.
He is so masseve you won't believe.

I hope the mule deer did well over the winter the snow is melting now that it warmed up.

We are having fly fishing clinics for kids this year and a fishing derby too. The trout pond has golden & rainbow trout in it up to 15 lbs. pretty good fishing for little kids but the adults are the funniest to watch.
Good luck hunting for all of you!!!!

Did you see my little buck in the new Idaho's Greatest Mule Deer on page 354?
I hope to see more big ones this season.
There is a monster on the winter range but he is like a ghost during hunting season.

Maniac, I love seeing your pictures, however this thread makes me wonder, how many of our members are indirectly trying to market something ?

Is this whole web site Capitalism gone amuck ?

Who has nothing to market ?

I don't get one penny of busness from this web site or its members.
I was asked a question and answered it.
Enjoy my pictures if you like.
