Sons first buck

This is a pic of my sons first buck. Not only first buck but first deer too. November 2001 age 12 .243 Win. He had a pretty good year in 01 killed his first elk (cow)and then killed this nice buck. He had told me he just wanted to shoot the first buck we saw. When he pulled the trigger on this one all he knew was it had horns, had no idea how big it was. I couldnt see the buck when he shot and had no idea what he was either. When I walked up to where the buck was laying I about $hit my diggers. And when he got to where I was and saw what was laying there I know he messed his too! Had a pretty good day, after he shot his I killed a nice 4x4 about 200 yds from where his buck dropped. We were done by 8 am opening morning.

12 Years old and first buck, wow! Now how is he going to top this, do wish him luck and success in his future hunts.

How long were his back tines and yea, what state???

Thanks guys
Buck is 23" tall and that g2 on his three point side is 16"
We are in western Colorado and that was his first year he could buy a tag in Colorado. He killed his first elk (cow) in Oct. then killed this buck in Nov. I keep telling him its all the "guide"!!!

Guy,
Well he sure is making this hunting look easy huh! Congrats to him and wish him more luck this year too.
Next time, have him "smile". Gee, I think any other hunter his age would be jumping for joy.
