Are 2004 Idaho Deer Regs Out Yet?

It says on their webpage that new deer regs will be out in April, but they still don't have the new ones posted. Are they out in stores in Idaho yet? Maybe I need to run up to La Tienda and grab a copy and a lotto ticket. I want to know the dates for the SE rifle season.

I have not seen regs yet, but IDFG set the season 10/05-10/19 according to their web news release. I wonder if there was much winterkill this year? There was a ton of snow up there in Nov & Dec.

The regs will be online before the printed ones are out. The F&G had a final commission meeting yesterday and today so they may even be online in the next couple days. I'll make a post with a link to the regs as soon as I notice them online.

As long as we don't get a late storm or two winter survival in Eastern Idaho hasn't been bad this year. The mountains East of Preston had slightly below average snow pack this year and the snow has been melting early in most places. In the last couple of weeks most of the does have at least one fawn with them and many of them have two fawns. As of about a month ago 12% of the collard fawns in the SE region died this winter. I'm sure the final numbers will be worse than 12% because a lot of the winter kill happens after the first part of March.

Brian-Id,
Thanks for the info! Keep us updated when the regs are online.
I can't believe some of the changes that were made. It will be good to get a final copy of the regs. I am ticked at the MZ hunt changes, but glad that ATV restrictions were expanded to rifle elk/deer hunts in 75,77,78.
Thanks Again,
HH

Here's something the F&G put on there website today.

Ask Fish and Game

Q . When will the deer and elk regulations be available? I want to apply for a drawing.
A. They are going to be a little late this year, because of the timing of the commission meeting where the seasons were set. They are due for delivery at Fish and Game on April 26, and will be distributed to vendors after that. You have the entire month of May to apply for controlled hunt drawings for deer, elk, antelope and fall black bear seasons. The online version should be available a week or so earlier.
