I just recently dug through some of my hunting pics and scanned a few of them. Not monster bucks but definately some awesome memories.

A canoe trip I did with a couple of buddies in 2000. One buddy got a muley buck and my other buddy got a muley doe. There are moose sheds and muley sheds also in the pic.

A little bear my dad shot when I was a kid. Funny that I was posing with my .22

Great pics BC. Did you have an old Model 99 savage for your first whitey you shot?........I have an old one in .300 savage that I shot my first deer with......Allen Taylor......

Those Canadians are big bodied suckers, most spikes and 2-points
out here look like german sheperds with horns. Cool pics BC (as usual)

Bura,
I was hunting with my mom's .243 that year. But my second buck was taken with that ol' Model 99 and most deer since. That ol' rifle has a ton of history to her. It was my dad's stepdad's, my dad's and then mine. One Christmas, when things were pretty tight, my dad gave it to me with a card telling me to pass it on to my kids. Another couple of years and my son will be shooting it. I can't wait. I actually picked up another one a few years back. My son and my daughter with both start with a Lever gun.

Those whitetails are good Canadian symbols. As soon as they hear a gunshot or sense a small bit of danger they raise their white flags.

Dillinger I don't think you know crap about anything of importants. Are you just stupid or are you just really a dumb A$$ who thinks he knows something. That old saying dumber than a box of rocks comes to mind when I read your post.

In 2 whole posts the guy really likes to step out and make an a$$ of himself. LMAO!!! Do you think I can get riled that easily? Come on now. If you are going to slam Canadian's, at least do it with some humor like Buttspy or BuraNutts. LOL!

gator (or should I call you box of rocks):T

Did you mean to say "anything of importance" not "anything of importants". Who's the dumb A S S?

At least you can entertain yourself, I'll give ya that. But, dude, make an effort to get the rest of us laughing too.

BS,
Shed hunting has had a slow start waiting for the snow to melt, but I'm in full on shed mode now. I've found 3 over 90 inches thus far, plus several big moose sheds.

BC: My first gun (of my own and not shared...LOL..) was a 1947 savage model 99 in the .300 I still have it and my 11 year old has used it a bit. Brought back old/good memories to see you holding one of them. thanks again for the pictures....... Allen Taylor......

Steve,

Thanks for the pictures. More of us should scan old pics and put them on MM. I've got some dandies if I knew where to find them. I also have a model 99 300 savage. It was my Grandpa's rifle and he bought it right after WWII. I have never killed anything with it, but I'll pass it along to a family member as an heirloom. It's a cool rifle and the caliber is decent as well.
