Hello All of you Manti Pro's..
I am the lucky winner of the Manti archery elk tag given away last year at the "King of the Rockies" archery tournament.
Well I will soon be putting down the Hoyt UltraElite (money makin target bow) and putting my Swarovski ATS 80 to work.
I have a question for all of you that have hunted or know the Manti. What direction would you point a guy to find a good bull worthy of the 18k that the fine folks at SFW forked out to obtain my coveted permit? So, if you hunted it in the last year or so where would you have wanted to spend more time? When was the best time time of the hunt?
I am not looking to sit on your lucky rock or hang out in your treestand. I am just looking to hike my tail off into somewhere remote and see a nice bull. Or just see him off of the road if that ever happens. And then eventually run an Easton FMJ powered by Hoyt through his chest of course.
So any tips, pointers or areas to stay away from would be gratefully appreciated. I have been on the Manti a lot, but not for a few years.
Looking forward to you responce.
Kevin
