AZ Unit 11M Kachina Bulls

The Kachina Boyz Club has grown to 10 for a siesta in the meadow this afternoon. Antlers have grown also since the last time I saw them. Looks like a couple will become worthy of a September archery chase.

I always hear this unit is like hunting in suburbia, joggers, bikers, dog walkers everywhere and no where to get away - is this true? Are there isloated areas where I could avoid this? It is a good hunt but my idea of an elk hunt does not involve ever seeing a jogger or dog walker.

Don,
When you get drawn, you could go to the west end of the unit near A-1 Mtn and not meet most of the general city folk, just lotsa other hunters. There was a small 25 acre fire near Little Wing Mtn this weekend, but the forest service has been doing lots of controlled burning in recent years, usually during archery elk season.
