I was helping my wife clean the living room for company coming this weekend and decided to help her by cleaning my mounts. I noticed that my antlers are looking a little dull. I was wondering what you all use to get the shine back?

LAST EDITED ON Apr-30-04 AT 12:32PM (MST)[p] Wipe them down with a damp cloth. Let dry and rub them down with some thined down linseed oil. Wipe again with dry cloth.
I no longer have this problem since one a my X wife's gommer boyfriends (Upeasachit)hauled all my mounts out of the house before I could get them.

Depends on how much you want them to shine. I have customers that like the "waxed" look. Mop & Glo works great for that. If not,a little WD-40 on a cloth will revive the color, and give them a slight sheen.

depends if the taxiderminst did a good job or not mine have been done for over a year now and still look the same now as they did the day i picked them up! i was guaranteed that the eyes would not go dull and that the horns would not either. if they do he says just bring them back but he has been doing it for many years now and has not had 1 come back yet!

WD-40 works well, spray it on a rag and wipe them down. Also linseed oil thinned with mineral spirits. I personaly would stay away from the shoe polish.
