N.M. # 52 Elk Hunters!!!!

Just wondering if any of you Unit # 52 elk hunters have ever seen any decent deer while elk hunting in unit # 52 in New Mexico? I have drawn a 52 primitive weapons muzzleloader hunt as a third choice and can't seem to find any info on the other boards. If anyone is willing to share I would sure appreciate it. There are some nice bucks there, but are far and few between. I saw 2-last year though that would look good on any wall.

well I know the feeling. I drew the mobility impaired bull elk muzzleloader hunt for oct 6 07. I have not been there either and was looking for some help. if I knew about any deer I would share some but I can't help you yet. good luck on your hunt though.

In 2004 we hunted in Unit 52 and the only deer we saw were the 5 bucks that would make their way across the park about 350 yards from our cabin to the creek bottom. All of the miles we put on - we never saw another deer, just lots of elk.
